Richard J. Gilchrist is an entrepreneur, a decorated Vietnam War veteran, and an active consultant to multinational corporations involved in the liquor industry. He recently retired from a law enforcement career spanning three decades. His professional achievements ultimately secured him several commendations and the rank of police Lieutenant. He is now living in the Valley of the Sun ... Phoenix, AZ.

Richard is a first time novelist, drawing from his career experiences, worldwide travels, and military service to fulfill a passion for writing. He enjoys staying fit, traveling, quality music, and discovering the right wine ... for that special moment. He is currently researching material for the sequel to his Editor's Choice award winning book, Up Close and Impersonal: A Novel.
